MATHEMATICS
Barbara Farris and Shari Wolf taught together in the Trotwood-Madison School District near Dayton, Ohio. Both teachers enjoyed teaching a variety of courses to all levels of mathematics students. Now, many years later with varied experiences behind them, they bring their skills back together to develop mathematics materials specifically designed to assist teachers in working with Ohio's Academic Mathematics Standards.
Barb taught nearly every course offered on the high school level. In working with a variety of learning and motivation levels, Barb spent her teaching career looking for those keys for success for her students.
Shari taught every ability level of student from grade 8 to grade 12. Almost half of her career was spent working in the vocational setting at the Miami Valley Career Technology Center near Dayton. Once again working with all levels of ability and motivation, their was the need to search and find those learning keys for all students.
These grade level mathematics materials (7, 8, 9, 10) written for each Indicator statement in the Ohio Academics Standards and now correlated to the Common Core Standards utilized many aspects of their experience and knowledge.
SCIENCE
Cindy Weikert, author of the Science study guide, earned her B.S. in Comprehensive Science-Biology from Miami University and her M.S. in Education from the College of Mt. St. Joseph. During her career, she taught most classes in the high school science curriculum to students of all ability levels.
